SaarLernNetz

The SaarLernNetz is one of over 80 projects promoted by the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) and the EU across the Federal Republic under the auspices of the "Lernende Regionen - Förderung von Netzwerken" (Regional Learning - the Promotion of Networks) programme.
Tailored to fit the infrastructure of the Saarland educational system, the SaarLernNetz is currently being developed, tested and implemented in collaboration with countless partners.
The SaarLernNetz is divided up into a variety of subsidiary projects. Taylor:Sprachen is a member of the "TILL" project, standing for "Technologisch Innovatives Lernen und Lehren" ("Technologically Innovative Learning and Teaching").
TILL is working on the development and testing of a practically-oriented fundamental concept for continuing lifelong education in the fields of technology, business management and languages. At the heart of this concept lies a dovetailing of the didactic and methodological activities involved in the teaching of core competences, particularly in the technological fields of industry and crafts.

Institutes of Learning in the United Kingdom

University of Exeter, Devon
Linguarama School, London, Stratford-upon-Avon, Bath

Thanks to our cooperation with these institutes, you have the option of undergoing highly intensive training in a professional environment.

The University of Exeter offers attractively-priced summer courses lasting 2 weeks and upwards, covering both general and business English. Participants are assessed and sorted according to level on arrival, and the actual teaching comprises 18-21 hours of training with qualified lecturers and many additional hours of preparation for projects and their subsequent assessment together with other participants, with course assistants and the very latest media available to assist. Exeter is a new university town, and many people come there from abroad each summer with the aim of improving their English.

Accommodation can also be arranged. Apartments are available on the University campus and in the town of Exeter, and host families are selected according to the very strictest criteria.

The Linguarama School offers training throughout the year. Just like Taylor:Sprachen itself, the school carefully examines the precise requirements of candidates - that is to say, both the content and the format of the training programme can be tailored to correspond fully with your wishes and needs. Participants are assessed and sorted in advance, and given a preparatory assignment for handing in on arrival. Just like Taylor:Sprachen, Linguarama recommends the integration of authentic material from the participants' actual work environment into the training programme. When they return home, candidates are given a final assignment, and of course this too is assessed. The maximum number of participants per course is six, and individual training is also a part of the programme.

Accommodation available in London and Stratford-upon-Avon ranges from apartments through host families to hotels. In Bath, participants are treated to a stay in a 17th-Century manor house, receiving their training at the same location.
